Care & Exercise
Schnauzers need regular walks and some play time to stay healthy, but they don't need intense exercise. Being hypoallergenic, their low-shedding coats need professional grooming every 6 to 12 weeks. Brushing and trims around the eyes help maintain their beautiful coats. Miniature Schnauzers are considered a robust, healthy, long living breed with an average life expectancy of 12-15 years.

Living with a Schnauzer
Miniature Schnauzers are loyal, people oriented family dogs who usually do very well with children when raised properly. They prefer being indoors with the family, not left alone outside for long periods. They do best in a good, loving home that can offer them time and attention, as an affectionate companion.
